Land & Legacy
Layers of the Sunshine State
Florida is a land defined by its layers. Long before the first citrus groves were planted or the golden era of the roadside attraction began, this peninsula was, and remains, a place of profound human connection and stewardship.
At The Little Florida Post, we celebrate the "Old Florida" aesthetic: the bold typography of vintage labels, the sun-drenched heritage of the coast, and the storied archives of a bygone era. However, we recognize that the era we curate is but one chapter in a much older book.
Our Commitment to the Whole Story
We acknowledge that the lands we explore and the stories we "forge" into physical mailers are the ancestral territories of the Timucua, Seminole, Calusa, and Miccosukee, among many others who have called this land home for thousands of years.
As we dive into the archives to bring you curated dispatches from Florida's modern history, we do so with a commitment to:
Recognizing the indigenous stewardship that preceded and persisted alongside the development of the Florida we see today.
Providing resources for our enthusiasts to learn more about the deep, foundational history of the Sunshine State.
